Shayla earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Winthrop University. While an undergraduate, Shayla was involved in multiple organizations that promoted mentorship and personal development.
Shayla was a Peer Mentor for the Winthrop Think College, a peer mentorship program designed to provide academic support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through this program she discovered her interest and passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum. After graduation, Shayla began her journey into ABA therapy and started her career as a registered behavior technician. Shayla has always had a passion for working with children, and she loves knowing that her work has a lasting impact on the development and growth of her clients and helps them achieve their greatest potential.
Originally from Summerville, South Carolina, Shayla relocated to Rock Hill after her graduation from college. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, cooking, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and exploring all that Charlotte has to offer.
