Mary Lyn is originally from Monroe, Georgia and attended The University of Georgia where she earned her Bachelor’s of Secondary Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then moved to Knoxville, Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where she earned her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Mary Lyn has a diverse range of clinical experience with clients of various ages and abilities across many settings, including speech and language clinics, aural rehabilitation clinic, early intervention, long-term acute care, skilled nursing, and long term care. She has extensive experience with children and adults with complex disabilities and communication needs.
Mary Lyn strives to provide individualized treatment that supports communication development and overall quality of life, utilizing evidence-based techniques and modalities such as play-based therapy and assistive communication strategies to enhance functional communication.
In her free time, she can be found enjoying the outdoors, traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching college football, cooking, and reading!
