Jordyn Freburger

Occupational Therapy Assistant
Jordyn earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science from Nova Southeastern University with a minor in Psychology of Health Sciences and thereafter earned her associate’s degree to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from Herzing University.
Jordyn has always had a passion for working with children which grew from participating in clubs and classes designed for accessibility and inclusivity and ultimately sparked her interest in occupational therapy. Jordyn’s interest in the pediatric population continued to grow throughout internships and clinical rotations where she encouraged building confidence and independence of children of all ages, abilities, and skills. After moving around the country for school, she settled in South Carolina to establish her career as a COTA.
Jordyn has experience working with patients with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, feeding disorders, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, and various rare genetic disorders. Her clinical interests include feeding therapy, sensory integration skills, and primitive reflex integration. She is certified in Beckman Oral Motor Protocol and the SOS Approach to Feeding.
When she’s not working, Jordyn enjoys traveling, exploring new places, reading, and hiking with her dogs, Kyte and Gus.
