Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellow
Anna earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from NC State University and her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from North Carolina Central University. She completed her graduate internship at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill with the UNC Feeding Team as well as within the Lactation Clinic. Anna has advanced training in feeding and oral motor skill development and is in the process of becoming a dual certified Speech-Language Pathologist and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Anna has experience providing pediatric and adult speech, language, feeding/oral-motor, voice, fluency, and social-communication therapy in a variety of settings. She has a passion for infant feeding, whether it is breast/chestfeeding, bottle feeding, transitioning to purees, as well as pediatric feeding. She believes her lactation knowledge helps her clients to understand swallowing function and feeding difficulties, and allows her to be more dynamic in providing both feeding assessments and speech therapy services.
Anna lives in her hometown of Little Washington, NC, with her husband and their dog, Millie. In her free time, Anna spends time with her husband outdoors, cooking, gardening, and taking trips to the beach.
